This study reveals the background concerning the problems of personnel management in Japanese enterprises and researches solutions through the case of Xiamen Special Economic Zone.As Chinese economy progress rapidly in recent years, the number of advanced foreign-funded companies in China has been increasing every year.However, Japanese enterprises in China have a lot of problems among which the most prominent one concerns personnel management and then comes the ones related to politics and legal problems.In order to deal with the problems of personnel management in Japanese enterprises, we have to firstly go back to Japanese management system. As comparing Japanese enterprises in China with the main office in Japan, it is harder for Japanese personnel management to root in the local area, thus causing problems to Japanese enterprises in China. This is the main logical supposition in this study. To establish this supposition, researches are carried out on Japanese enterprises both in Xiamen and in the head office in Japan using questionnaires and interviews.This article is composed by four chapters:Chapter One mentions the aim of this study, refers to the feedback of past studies and indicates the existing problems in the research. Chapter Two mentions research area and research methods and introduces the society characteristics of Xiamen. Chapter Three mentions the result of this research, and the last chapter generates conclusions of this study.
