As China economy are developing fast and the purchasing power of residents has been greatly increased. The electric-appliance market has also been developed during these years. A great many electric-appliance retail enterprises caught the opportunity to develop e, especially Gome and Suning. But as the competition becoming more fiercer, the low price strategy was becoming not enough to win and it also hurt the health of the industry. The entry of international electric-appliance retail enterprise with advanced skills and capitals forces local companies to seek the way to build their own core competitiveness.This thesis analyzed the core competitiveness of Gome and Bestbuy based on the theory of retail core competitiveness , supply chain management and retail chain management. And try to give the advices to Gome on how to build the core competitiveness.According to the features of retail industry, this thesis compared the capability of Gome and Best buy in retail concept innovation, supply chain management and organization manamgent.At first, this thesis compared the industry situation of China and USA. And then introduced the back ground of Gome and Best buy. The third part is the most important part in which the core competitiveness compare research of Gome and Best buy was made. The recommendations on how to build the core competitiveness of Gome was introduced in part four.
