After the reform and opening-up, considerable development has been made to the rural medicine market in our country, and the healthy level of rural residents has been improved obviously. However, compared with urban medicine market, its development level is still very low, thus it remains great space and potential for further development. Meanwhile, the rural medicine market is in utter disorder, there exist problems such as sluggish circulation system, low quality and unreasonably-high price of medicines, and the problem regarding to medical availability for farmers has not been completely resolved.Rural market and urban market are mutually-linked, mutually-promoted and an organic whole that can not be separated. The development of rural medicine market can not only benefit the quick development of rural economy and society, and the improvement of living quality of 900 million farmers, but also benefit the enhancement of the vigor of rural and urban industry and commerce so that to promote the development of urban economy..Gearing to the status quo and problems together with causes, this article tries to put forward some considerations and suggestions on how to develop rural medicine market from aspects of product, price, channel, market promotion and etc., and strives to provide practical instructions to domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, especially provincial ones, on how to develop rural medicine market, so that to promote the healthy and ordered development of rural medicine market, meet with farmers' demands for medicine, ensure the availability of medicines with high quality and favorite price for numerous farmers, and forcefully drive the healthy development of medical sector and building a new socialism countryside.
