With the development of economic globalization, more and more organizations adopted multinational strategies. Intercultural teams have become an important structural components in many organizations.Cultural diversity, the main characteristic of intercultural teams, on one hand, distinguishes them from other ordinary teams; on the other hand, brings about some special difficulties, conflicts and misunderstanding. Therefore, a careful study on how to solve these problems and build a highly effective intercultural team is of great significance.Up till now, according to my research, little work has been done on intercultural team building and team effectiveness. Empirical research work is even harder to find. As a result, this study is only a pilot empirical research on it.The study is done from the perspective of organizational behavior and managerial psychology. And through the analysis of the feedback of the survey, the outcomes of my research are follows:1. After thorough literature review, I designed the inventory on intercultural team building and team effectiveness.2. Through the factor analysis, correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA of the data from the feedback, I summarized critical factors in intercultural team building and team effectiveness.3. Through the empirical research on this issue, I set up a model of intercultural team building and team effectiveness, on which, suggestions on how to build highly effective intercultural team are based and put forward.
