Since the hot-spring itself is the main part of the hot-spring resort product, its design is the key to the development of such resorts. As we know, the hot-spring product can be considered as a kind of experience. Its product modality is a tangible hot-spring, with the resort as a theatre, and entertainments and services as properties to offer unique experience to tourists. It can make tourists satisfied for the purposes of health.Through field trips and questionnaires, the author uses the software SPSS 13.0, trying to find out the motivation of tourist consumption, the process of destination choice, what influences the decision-making of tourists, and the tourist experience of the hot-spring product. Thus, the author draws a conclusion and establishes a theory system of the hot-spring product. In the system the author gives the definition of the hot-spring product and points out that the essential effect of the hot-spring product is experience. And that the features of the experiential resort include five aspects:, humanistic subject, emotional goal, personalized service, diversified product, interactive process, persistent effect. Finally, the author puts forward the content and principles of designing the hot-spring product.As a window of the hot-spring resort, the hot-spring product proper functions obviously importantly. Experience is not in-born stuff of humans, but exists during the process of human pursuits of their potential needs. Due to the above features, the tourist satisfaction does not mainly come from tangible products, goods and services, but from inner psychological satisfaction. How to attract more tourists to the hot-spring product is well worth our studies. Here, this paper focuses on the design of the hot-spring product.
