The Intellectual Bus System Design

As the leading telecom carrier, China Telecom is facing intense competition and intricate environment. To realize the corporation positioning of building a "market-oriented, client-centered, profit-targeted" system, and to increase the core ability of competition to ensure the corporation' s long-term development, China Telecom is implementing the strategy of transforming from a traditional telecom carrier to an integrated information provider.The intellectual bus system is one of the important projects of ChengDu Telecom to implement the strategic transformation of China Telecom. As one of the project managers, I participated in parts of the key designing work with related theoretical knowledge learnt from MBA courses. The projectconsists of 9 parts-China Telecom' s strategic transformation and projectpositioning, designing the controlling system of intellectual bus system, designing the electronic bus stop board, designing the telecommunication network, designing the operation of the board advertisement, implementing plans, designing the service control system, analysis of risk and financial analysis. The key parts are the controlling system of intellectual bus system, the designing the electronic bus stop board, the designing the telecommunication network, the designing the operation of the board advertisement and the designing of service control system. This article is based on the practical project of ChenDu Telecom, together with other successful cases. Through thoroughly researches, comparison and analysis, we finished a practical project designing. And China Telecom had signed a contract with ChengDu Communication Committee in Dec. 2006 accordingly, and the construction working has been carried out.
