The Technology Development Of Chinese Enterprises

At present, with the acceleration of the global economic integration process, the economic ties among countries in the world become ever closer. The major multinational companies are also seeking global partners to integrate local resources for their use. R & D cooperation between enterprises has become a trend, which is both an opportunity and a challenge for Chinese enterprises. There are always different views on the issue whether the R & D cooperation with foreign multinational companies can be beneficial to the improvement of the technological level of China's enterprises. Based on the former research achievements, this paper establishes a two-stage non-symmetric duopoly game model, analyzes the R & D cooperation between two non-symmetric enterprises and proves that the R & D cooperation is conducive to China's domestic enterprises in improving their technological level, although such cooperation is under the circumstances of asymmetric strength. This paper provides a theoretical basis for the R & D cooperation between Chinese enterprises and multinationals. Then this paper further compares the advantages and disadvantages of two different organizational patterns (contracts and joint ventures) of the cooperation. This paper probes into the existing risks of cooperation innovation and discusses how to avoid these risks, and introduces virtual R & D organization, which is a recently developed enterprises cooperation form.On the basis of the former analysis, this paper analyzes the feasibility of leap-forward development of the technological level among the local enterprises in China and argues that after nearly 30 years of development, Chinese enterprises have strengthened their power and possessed the abilities to cooperate with multinationals in R & D. Also this paper discusses the best R & D strategies between Chinese enterprises and multinationals, to make full use of the R & D cooperation and to realize the leap-forward development of the Chinese enterprises. Finally, this paper takes the household company Haier and China's automobile industry as the example, analyzes their developing process of cooperating with foreign enterprises and their successful experience, as well as their aspects for improvement, to help other Chinese enterprise extract experience from them.
