The development of modern enterprise and critical analysis of the staff's contribution became staff's motivation and enthusiasm to bring out employees'potential, improve enterprise efficiency and develop enterprises'strategic objectives.This report is divided into six parts. The first chapter of this paper summarized the background, significance and relevance of the research methods. The second chapter reviews the performance management theory with regards to performance appraisal, performance management concepts, relation between performance appraisal and performance management, analysis of performance management and introduction of current popular performance appraisal methods and the basis of its choice. The third chapter mainly analyze Keppel Group performance management status, problems that exist in its performance management and the cause of these problems. The fourth chapter is the main focus of this report as well as its innovative part. This report attempts to use Keppel Group as a study in its empirical analysis: Using Keppel Group staff development as a reference to determine the performance indicators, adjusted the index weightage and design of the score standard, verification of the actual worth of promotion in the company's management system. Staff development will be used as the starting point to determine the content of the examination, assessment methods and the design cycle of the performance evaluation. Chapter five will cover the realization of Keppel Group management usual operation, from changes in the organization, changes in concept, training development, revise of the pay system and others to ensure relevant protection measures. Lastly the report will analyze Keppel Group management in implementing this programme, the possible problems that arise amid the process and continue further research in this area.
