Research On The Design Of Knowledge Map In The Product R&D Department Of The Automobile Industry

With the continuous developing of knowledge economy, various organizations have recognized that knowledge is their most important asset in succession. Knowledge economy has notable feature that is knowledge development, utilization and management, so knowledge management is the inevitable request for organizations.Also, continuous advancement and extended application of information technology plays an important role in implementing knowledge management. The knowledge map is one of important technologies of knowledge management has a few research literatures at home and abroad. But the majority just regard knowledge map as moiety of knowledge management system and knowledge manage technologies to simply introduce it. They just research knowledge map from content, form and function. However research literatures about construction of knowledge map is few.Nowadays automobile industry product R & D department does not have the suitable tool to open out and transfer the enterprise's knowledge resources, so the knowledge isolated island phenomenon is relatively serious. Researchers are urgently need to break through the limitation of single type knowledge management system, get the overall field of vision of the knowledge related to the enterprise product development, Make full utilized in knowledge, experience, methods and the process though the development task.And the emergence of knowledge map, making the acquisition of knowledge has become with a definite object, it has been reduced constant repetition knowledge due to the increase the knowledge of excessive, but also greatly fill in the knowledge gap of important sectors.This paper designed a knowledge map system of an automobile R&D Department based on knowledge atlas in order to provide a quick platform of visiting and searching knowledge through the systematic analyse. The purpose is to achieve the communication and utilization in the product R&D department through the classification and association of the knowledge, and the description of the characteristic & recessive knowledge; knowledge map.The content of this paper is:1 Based on research background and significance, summarizing research and application status of Enterprise Knowledge maps. At present the construction method and technology of knowledge map's had more and more research, but only limits in the educational fields or the Single system research and development, it was not enough to understand the substantive influence in carrying out the knowledge management organization of knowledge map.2 Discussed the knowledge map's classified standard, finally determined the taxonomic approach which suits this research: Concept knowledge map; Flow knowledge map; Ability knowledge map.3 Analyzing actual data-dependent, functional and secure requirements for constructing knowledge map in the product R&D department of the automobile industry.4 This paper is based on such fundamental theories as knowledge management theory and information management theory, and it also utilizes the current information technologies and the system developing and visualizing tool based on Web techniques, which is building on the basic characteristics of the demands of scientific research institutions. Meanwhile, this paper has made some innovative researchesKnowledge Atlas, the aggregation of the correlative knowledge maps, is built on the basis of K-maps which can realize the knowledge organization and navigation. Moreover, it creates a wider web of connections through bringing together different kinds of K-maps .We can choose any K-map of Knowledge Atlas as the entrance to find all the available knowledge by the mutual use of K-maps and thus implement the free navigation of all types of resources.It has developed a modeled frame stricture based on the knowledge map sets, which offers to visually express links between knowledge maps. And by these links, it helps enhance these knowledge maps'value.5 It has developed a prototype of the knowledge maps in scientific research institutions. There are five functional modules in this prototype, including expert navigation functional module, program navigation functional module, knowledge map navigation functional module, knowledge map sets functional module and knowledge map sets management functional module. These functional modules efficiently realize the navigation of expert knowledge, program knowledge and subject knowledge. And they disclose links between different knowledge through the cisual method as well.
