Research On Development Models Of Port-Neighboring Industry

The 21st century is an era of ocean. Ocean ports become the link of the marine economy and land economy, and also are the point of intersection of trade, economic and culture among every country all over the world; The best location advantage and the abundant port resources attract modern industry to congregate towards the port areas ceaselessly. The port-neighboring industry was just developing with the tide of industry congregating towards the ports and the appearance of the port-neighboring industrial estate. It's development not only makes the modern industry looking brand-new, but also sustains and drives the regional economic development, and creates a great deal of economic flying-off. If Fujian province wants to gain economic development at a stride, the port preponderant condition must be fully used and the port-neighboring industry should be developed imperatively.This paper takes the rapid development of the world port economy and the tide of the construction of economic zone of west bank of straits as the historical background, discussed how did the port-neighboring industry come into being, it's meaning, advantages, and some relational theories, summarized the common models of port-neighboring industry development. In this foundation, going deep into the successful development models of port-neighboring industry inside and outside our country, such as the Japan model, the West Europe model, the Asian four dragons model, and the Shanghai model, the Shenzhen model, the Ningbo model, so that we gained quite a lot of important revelations. We can't copy any kind of the models in developing port-neighboring industry in Fujian province. We must choose to learn and absorb the soul of every model on the basis of the facts in Fujian. This paper analyzed the advantages, the status quo and the existent problem at present of the port-neighboring industry development in Fujian, and then carried on the exploration to the development models of port-neighboring industry in Fujian. At last, this thesis has raised proposal to develop port-neighboring industry in Fujian.
