In recent years, along with the expanding of college recruit, the graduating college students have found the job hurting much harder than before and this dilemma has already become a big social problem. Statistics of the last few years shows that the career problem for graduate students has not been solved well. On one hand the number of graduate student continuously increases, on the other hand the employers always dissatisfied with the freshmen's quality. All these facts result in a great deal of unemployed graduate student. As the final products of the higher education, graduate students'labor ability is stronger than that of the common workers without higher education. So the unemployment of graduate students will not only influence the constitution and development of labor market, but also affect the reform of current education system. This text focusing on the employment problem of college graduate student will firstly explain the actual reason for graduate students'unemployment and then find some viable solution and policy suggestion supporting with the related theories of economics.First part: point out the significance of this research, introduce some related domestic and international research results, elaborate the research with its way of thinking, with the main point of innovation, with its studying method and with the source of data etc.Second part: analyze the current situation of college graduate students' employing condition, illustrate some relating data to show the rigorous employment situation facing with the graduate student, and explain the internal and external real cause of this phenomenon.Third part: divide the local labor market into two segments within the supporting of domestic and international employment theories, analyze both two segments of labor market with the human capital theory, discrimination theory, job search theory, and reserved wage theory etc., find out theoretical reasons of reject of graduate students in these two segments. Fourth part: bring in the concept of the center segment of labor market, redefine the employment problem of college graduate student in the center segment, claim to consummate the labor market by popularizing profits sharing salary plan in this segment and therefore promote the employment of graduate student.Fifth part: introduce some employment policies both at home and abroad in three aspects of demand promoting, supply promoting and the promoting of combination of supply and demand, give out some policy suggestion on the basis of current domestic employment policy focusing on the improvement of center segment and expanding the profits sharing salary plan.
