Since China become the member of WTO, global economic integration has made the domestic enterprise and economic environment to face the enormous change and direct challenge, which causes human resources to reach the strategic places instead of material resources in modern enterprises. Facing the more and more complicated environment , modern enterprises must attract , hold and make full use of talents by designing and adjusting the human resources system, especially the compensation and performance appraisal system to obtain success and make achievement..Pay for performance is a kind of salary mode to bridge salary with the given performance target mutually for the personal or the team. Although to concept is recognized and accepted by more and more people, the enterprise still face many challenges in the aspects of drawing up and carrying out the system to support the management target. Therefore, the design of the Pay for performance must stand the strategy position to embody the strategy intents, take encourage policy as the orientation and seek for the balance point for both sides of the inward encourage and outward competition. Establishing the reasonable and effective system of the Pay for performance management can guarantee the competitive advantage of the human resource management and convert it to the leading place in market.Based on the analysis of the current Compensation and Performance Appraisal System of Chongqing XX Co.Ltd, the existing problems were found. Some advanced technique and methods were introduced to set up a totally new Compensation and Performance Appraisal system to meet the real requirement for this enterprise. In the designed Performance Appraisal system, the different appraisal forms were used for different departments and ranks based on the concept of BSC and KPI. In the Compensation system, the position appraisal is foundation, so graded system and re-evaluation laws of three key element was adopted for sales and administrative staff, which makes it more rational and flexible.This thesis focuses on the combination of theory and practice, pays attention to the use of the method in the design process. Many kinds of methods are used to seek for designing a more accurate and rational system of Compensation and Performance Appraisal to meet the requirement of XX Enterprise and make limited human resource of the company to play a key role.
