The article takes the ethylene plant as an example and search for solutions to realize the safe stable and cost-efficient production by means of taking efficient advantage of enterprise resource, so as to serve the society better and make more profits. By analyzing the existing problems of the production control of the ethylene plant, I hope we can find the counter-measures to the problems.The essay analyzes the human resource and organization conditions of the ethylene plant, the importance of training in production control and crucial items in production such as safety control, equipments management, plan management and quality management. By the scientific method of safety risk analysis, the traditional safety management is changed from qualitative analysis to quantitative analysis. By adopting the PERT and CPM, maintenance time is shortened and maintenance cost is reduced.
