Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out in the 16th session of National People's Congress that, ' The informationalization is the inevitable choice for our country to speed up the realization of industrialization and modernization.' Thus it can be seen, the informationalization has already been raised to the strategic altitude concerning enterprise development, and has become the breakthrough to propel enterprise's each work innovated and promoted. Premier Zhu Rongji has once pointed out that, ' The informationalization is an important aspect of reform', 'is a profound revolution'. Since it is a revolution, it will not be an easy matter, and to be a profound revolution means a heavier burden.As a result of the particularity of China informationalization development course, as well as the small scale and the weak background of our enterprises and so on, although China enterprise informationalization construction has gained some certain results so far, the overall effect is certainly not entirely as desired. The judgment ' the chance to win informationalization is only 20%' is not just intended to frighten people by no means, but there is something actual underlying. Although there is some divarication in judging defeat regarding enterprise informationalization, the necessity and the urgency of enterprise informationalization risk research have been acknowledged beyond all doubt.In view of some characteristics of the existing enterprise informationalization research results (for example: stress technology while neglect management, unclear research mentality and incomplete logical system, and so on), this article proposes a kind of new risk research frame of enterprise informationalization - 'diamond model' system. It strives to start with a kind of more scientific classification, to integrate all kinds of risks mentioned in present studies, and to scrutinize enterprise informationalization risks again with the more systematic and clearer mentality, in order to guarantee the theoretic research systematic and the practical application feasible. The 'diamond model' mainly classifies the risk sources into the following four kinds: risks from service provider; risks from organization and its revolution; risks from management and its revolution; risks from technology and its revolution. In addition, there are also some risks from environment, and risks from all other uncertain factors.On the basis of the model study, the case study part of this article illustrates with two informationalization cases both in medicine industry: the defeated ERP construction of Harbin Pharmaceutical Group and the successful informationalization of Yunnan Baiyao Group. Through the contrast research between them, this article finds out the main defeat reasons of Harbin Pharmaceutical Group and the success experience of Yunnan Baiyao Group. The aim of the contrast research of this article is to provide a kind of thought pattern to research positive and negative influences in contrast, with hope to achieve better study and reference effects.
