Defects In Patent System Of Chinese Pris And Suggested Solutions

With the entry of knowledge economy, intellectual property has increasingly become a brand new type of assets, which helps promote the social and economic development in the whole world. Public Research Institutes (PRIs) are of great significance in advancing Chinese innovation of science and technology. Their IP protection and management influence the national innovation ability directly. By introducing and analyzing patent protection and management of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), this research studies the patent system of PRIs in natural science and technology fields, and presents suggested solutions.This thesis comprises six chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces research scope and research approaches. This research involves CAS, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS), especially taking CAS as the main research object. It applies empirical study principally, and discusses relative theories. The second chapter summarizes patent protection and management system of Chinese PRIs. This chapter outlines Chinese patent protection and management law system, and patent protection and management of CAS, CAMS and CAAS.
