Study On The Application Of Patent Informatics And Enterprise Patent Strategy

During the competition of the contemporary high-technology, patent has become an advantageous weapon for a country to win and the quality and quantity of patent which an enterprise owns to a large extent determines its competitive power. As China has already joined the WTO, our enterprises will be situated in a much opener and much more intense competitive environment. Furthermore, at present patent in China is undergoing a rapid development, but its overall quality level is not high enough. As a result, carrying out researches on the development of patent informatics and applying patent strategies are of great importance for an area or a country to improve its comprehensive competitive power.Patent informatics is a kind of information resource which integrates technology, law and economic information. In foreign countries such kind of researches has already been carried out for long and outstanding achievements have been reached. Nowadays patent research in China is on its way towards the long- range plan of 2010 and it is definitely benefit to review the way our patent informatics research has undergone and look forward to the magnificent prospects so as to promote the development of patent business and patent intelligence research.Drawing up enterprise patent strategy is necessary to implement the enterprise's operation, brand and technology strategies and is significant for the enterprise to improve the market competition power, explore markets at home and abroad and realize its objective. It is also a significant move to protect our domestic market and vigorously develop our national industry, a necessity to protect enterprise intellectual property and prevent the drain of its intangible asset. According to development of enterprise patent strategy and the need of enterprise technology competition, the enterprise patent strategy is divided to find interaction mode and to be an important means to joint enterprise patent, technology introduction and enter business and to enhance enterprise vigor.Making use of patent informatics, enterprise patent strategy is analyzed to find out the advantage, disadvantage, changes and threat of patent strategy applied in Chinese enterprises, and to study the relationship of protecting patent information and putting patent strategy into effect, to establish patent information system and enterprise patent strategy system, to establish an effective evaluation system of patent information and application system of enterprise patent strategy for the basis of the application, drawing up and taking in effect during the eleventh-five-year plan. The present thesis was inspired, shaped and finally accomplished based on such a background.The thesis mainly contains six parts. In part 1, some preparations are carried out, which include: first putting forward the practical and theoretical significance of this research; second comparing and analyzing the status quo of research at home and abroad which focus on patent informatics and enterprise patent strategy, and at the end of this part, framework and main content of the thesis take shape. Part 2 carries out deep analyses of the characteristics of each phrase of patent intelligence procedure and application of common patent intelligence methods in enterprise patent strategy. In part 3, the definition of patent strategy studied by this thesis is put forward after summing up the various definitions which exist at home and abroad. The mutual relationship between enterprise paten strategy and other strategies is also analyzed in this part. In part 4, enterprise patent strategy is analyzed using paten informatics. Part 5 advances a countermeasure of defensive intelligence in enterprises based on patent strategy. Part 6 establishs enterprise patent informatics system and patent strategy system, as well as the evaluation system on patent informatics and application of enterprise patent strategy.
