| Energy source is basic material to social development. It is the main power source and important material source, as well as one of the essential input elements of economic development. On one hand, the consumption of energy source can boost economic development, on another hand, economic development will increase energy consumption in turn. There are cause and effect between energy consumption and economic development. Along with the worldwide economic development, the demand of energy source is increasing while the reserves of it becomes less and less. Therefore, the insufficiency of gross energy supply has become a bottleneck of economic development in each country. As it comes to our country, the continuous high rate of economic development makes the conflict between demand and supply of energy source more and more serious.With three five-year plans' time serial data, this paper analyzed the connection and development trend between energy demand and supply in our country. The energy consuming status in our country was also analyzed in terms of, according to the research in this paper, it is possible that the energy consumption per GDP unit during the eleventh five-year reduce by 20% than that of the tenth five-year. The evaluation of each year's energy efficiency was also made with DEA method, it opened out that adjusting energy consuming structure and adopting advanced technology are must to economic development in our country. This paper also analyzed flexibility coefficient of energy consumption, forecasted the energy consumption per GDP at the end of the eleventh five-year. A econometric model of production(C-D) function was built to study the linkage connection between energy consumption and GDP, the study result indicated that energy consumption has objective proportion connection with economic development. In addition, some suggestions were also provided to make energy consumption increases in reason and economy develops in an appropriate rate. |
