The Applied Research Of Participatory Forestry In The Management And Protection Of Non-commercial Forest

The main function of our forestry was changing from timber production to ecological service now. In that situation, the construction of non-commercial forest is becoming more and more important. What's more, when there was more non-commercial forest, there should be more management and protection to it. From the research and practice we have known, the management and protection of non-commercial forest was still traditional. The responsibility lay on the manager and the masses on the forest land rarely participate in it, so that the work of management and protection is short of dynamics.In participatory development theory, the motivation of development comes from the main body. The help is just a drive method. The community public should be given the authority of decision-making and choice. This paper was to discuss the present state and the problems in the management and protection of our non-commercial forest, and analyze the practicability of introducing participatory forest to it with the research of participatory and the mechanism in the management and protection of non-commercial forest. On the basic of investigation and analysis, the participatory management mechanism in the management and protection in non-commercial forest was trying to be designed in this paper to introduce a new management method in the job.
