A Study On The Model Of Trust Relationships Among The Firms On Supply Chain

The competition between enterprises has become the competition between supply chains since 21 century. We need to pay attention to a problem that how to improve the efficiency of supply chain. But the research has more and more emphasized the flow elements and technology. Yet an important element---trust which plays a key role in supply chain partnership has been ignored. Trust is the base of cooperation. On the other hand, trust mechanism is the footstone of operating supply chain successfully. So it is the demand of reality and also an important task not to be avoided by theory research to carry through a system research on trust mechanism in virtual enterprise theoretically.Using some rational factors of theory research and practice for reference, this paper makes some system and thorough research on trust mechanism in supply chain. During the course of writing, the author gives priority to the theory research, on the same time, combining the qualitative and quantitative analysis. In these researches, the theory of game, economic sociology, some qualitative description models and some quantitative analysis models are used. Of course, these theories and methods all encircle the unique feature of supply chain.The construction arrangement and the main contents of this paper are as the followings: chapter 1 introduces correlative history literature about supply chain trust, base theory, and research methods. Chapter 2 introduces some base theories of supply chain trust, such as its characters, functions and importance. Chapter 3 explains the reasons for supply chain trust based game theory. Chapter 4 is the core part of this paper. In this part, the author analyzes how to build up and develop supply chain trust in detail. There are three modes: standard-based trust, process-based trust and character-based trust. Chapter 5 is an additional part for chapter 4. The article introduces some methods to safeguard the supply chain trust, such as enhancing the enterprises'credit, choosing partners rationally, and defending risk. The supply chain trust can be protected and develops through these mechanisms and modes introduced above. There is an example for the theories posed above between Wal-Mart and P&G in the last part.
