It has caused a great impact on our traditional freight forwarders, and the market of traditional freight forwarders has been on the verge of a severe competition. And the packed service brought in the forwarding field by these new-comers even more shake the survival foundation of traditional freight forwarders with profits by price difference and booking fees. The transfer and through transport service of these traditional forwarders will face a severe challenge as long as their living space.Based on the full awareness of international logistics development, this thesis researches on the relevant problems about the strategy transition of container freight forwarding companies. This thesis contains following parts. Chapter one briefly introduces the background and meaning of thesis topic, the content of studying. Chapter two has introduced the basic knowledge of container freight forwarding, including the concept, effect and the history of it. Chapter three introduces and analyses the traditional management mode of our country's freight forwarders, then puts forward the problems of it. Chapter four studies the status in quo and the problems of container freight forwarders in Xiamen, then advances the new characteristics of the competition of it. Chapter five foresees the containers throughput of Xiamen in future and analyses the trends of the development of freight forwarders in Xiamen. Based on the above analysis and the traits of every sort of freight forwarders, the different advice to different sort of freight forwarders has been given. Then the detailed measures are also put forward. In the end, chapter six concludes the thesis.
