International Technology Spillovers Effect Through Imports

The paper does further research on technology spillovers effect through imports. Construct a regresion equation , using total factor productivity as dependent variable, R&D input of a country (province ) and R&D input of import source countries as variables. In the regresion equation we attempt to indicate a dummy variable which reflects the change of import trade policy and inviroment, then explores the extent to tehnology diffusion through imports. The empirical study of our country and provinces shows that the advanced technology and R&D achievement of trade partners significantly promote the technology progress through imports. Import trade of the region is not the same degree of impact of technological advances, the central and western regions as a result of factors such as the technology gap is more pronounced effect.
