The multinational company started to invest in China from 1980s, and the intention was to make use of the local resources and occupy the China big market. After China joined the WTO, with the competition increasing and getting much fiercer, the global companies transferred new technology and production to their Chinese filiale. These bring many technology and production regional transferring projects.Technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company require international teams and groups cooperation, so cultural differences, time difference and space difference must be faced. This kind of project involves a company's all functional aspects from raw material, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales & market etc., so it is full of complexities. Sometimes even cause a subsidiary company in one region closed and another new in a new place built. So technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company require higher project management skills.As a branch of academic study, project management has a complete theory, body of knowledge and series of technique tools. These theories and tools will direct the project leaders well management on technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company. Different projects have different critical and unique points, project leaders must know these theories well and practise them flexibly. But as of the complexities of technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company, the leaders will face more challenges in managing these projects.On the basis of fully analyzing the characteristics of technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company, the author successfully managed some this kind of projects by flexibly using the academic theories. And got some valuable experiences from the practice, showed in this dissertation, include scope management, time management, cost management, procurement management, risk management, quality management, human resource management, and communication management etc. Finally the author built a stage gate process for the technology and production regional transferring projects of multinational company.
