Analysis And Evaluation For Innovation Performance Of Regional Innovation System

With the increasingly globalization, the world economic presents the regional characteristic. The innovation capacity of regional innovation system is becoming the determining factor to gain the international competition superiority. Thus, it is a dispensable setup to appreciate the innovation performance of regional innovation system, reveals many problems on the innovation development process, proposes some recommends and enforces the innovation capacity. To appreciate the innovation performance of regional innovation system can measure the innovation performance, make the decision-making scientific and reduce the innovation risk.There are many academic researches on evaluation for innovation performance of regional innovation system, but the index systems also have many flaws because evaluation for innovation performance involves various factors. Single model is not enough to explain and solve fully the problems which exist in regional innovation system. It waits for a breakthrough on how to choose proper models and integrate these models to satisfy practical requires.This paper has thoroughly studied the issue of evaluation for innovation performance of regional innovation system from both theoretic and methodological perspectives. The main research as well as the achievement is summarized as follows.Firstly, the comprehensive review of theory on regional innovation system and evaluation for innovation performance of regional innovation system and its development are made. Then, we discuss the importance and necessity on evaluation for innovation performance of regional innovation system. We also introduce many models which are used universally nowadays, compare and summarize existing evaluation models, analyze their characteristics .Also, the development tendency and deficiency of evaluation for innovation performance of regional innovation system has been discussed in the paper.Secondly, through deep analysis of factors influencing innovation performance of regional innovation system, this paper designs an innovation performance assessment index system for regional innovation system. It absorbs many ideas from existing index system, complies with the comprehensive and scientific principle, and considers innovation indexes from the view of input and output.
