Research On Industry Cluster Patterns In Western Areas

As one new industrial organization form, industry cluster has many advantages on satisfying diverse market and enhancing the local competitive power, so it grows and expands in many regions and nations around the world and makes significant contribution to their economical development.In the recent 20 years, industrial group with small and medium-sized enterprises as the main body, the characteristic industry as the prop, the region gathers as the strut is extremely common in the southeast of our nation, which has already become the engine of the southeast economy.Taking eastern area as an example, the governments of western provinces and cities are also creating the condition for industry cluster's formation and development initiatively, trying to cultivate their own characterized industry cluster, promoting their industry competitive power, and narrowing the gap with the east. However, at present the scale of western cluster is not large enough, and its gathering function doesn't completely work. Many reasons account for this difference, and the most prominent one lies in the fact that the south-eastern industry cluster forms spontaneously, but the western one is cultivated by governments.The government cultivation needs to design the model based on the analysis of objective conditions (including resources, industry and social environment), and create macro-policy condition, according to industry development law. Only in this way can the industry cluster become mature. The industry cluster's development model is not fixed, it can learn and innovate. In view of this fact, this article analyzed the objective conditions for the development of western industry cluster, and proposed several modes, and further select superior one, aiming to provide policy reference for local governments.This paper divides into six chapters.
