Currently the financial system in main developed countries has veered to mixed management, which is attributed to the financial liberalization and rapid development of modern communication techniques etc. Compared with separate operation, the mixed business can enable both the banking business and securities business to support each other, and has some advantages such as balancing banking risks etc. After China's entry into WTO, the Chinese financial institutions are destined to participate in the global economy and to face the keen competition from the "financial conglomerate" of the western developed countries. To survive in the international competition, our financial institutions should be reformed, transforming from the separate operation to the combined operation.The paper explores the modes of mixed management, coordinated mechanism of financial supervision, as well as interaction among bank, securities and insurance in the combined operation, and thus points out the mode of financial holding company and the supervision in separation are suited to China. Although the separate operation is still the mode adopted by our financial sector, some interactions among bank, securities and insurance develop rapidly in China these years.
