Conceptual Production is the result of production conceptual design. It is although in the forepart of the design, it decides most content of the production. The RP (Rapid Prototyping) can produce the production in so short time that people can evaluate the future production conveniently. In all technique of the RP, the Model Slicing plays a key role, and it is the main content of the thesisThe model slicing of conceptual production is an obligatory approach in all the rapid prototyping technique and its realization method. In which, the algorithms of model slicing based on STL are more important. The thesis studies many emitted algorithms in this field, finds out although they executing approaches are different from each other, they follow a same principle, that solve the crossing line by the method of finding triangles according to slicing plains. In this article, a new algorithm, Algorithm for Slicing STL Model by Seriatim Incising Triangles is brought forward, it accomplish matching of triangle and plain by the method of finding slicing plains according to triangles. The Algorithm for Slicing STL Model by Seriatim Incising is made up of two sub algorithms. One is the algorithm of evaluating crossing line of triangles and plains (M1 for short); the other is the algorithm of making out counters (M2 for short). At the first, the thesis analyses the relationship between dimensional triangle and plains. The relationship is compartmentalized into two types, three cases and nine states. In the M1, each state has a evaluating method. The M2 is used to making outlines of each section. it also optimizing them and marking them. In the end of this part, the complexity in time and space of the algorithm is analyzed.It tries on the algorithm brought forward in the front by programming. The program is developed with VC6.0. It is an Object-Oriented program. OpenGL , The three-dimensional graphics developing technique used widely now, is applied to the program too. The program not only visualizes the 3D conceptual productions, but also demonstrates the conception of Rapid prototyping.
