China's economy has developed fast for a long time.'The third profits source'-the modern logistics plays an important role in the development of the national economy. And as the most important part of the logistics, the port has the irreplaceable role for the development of the economy. On the one hand, the development of the regional economy can't be separated from the support of the regional logistics industry; on the other hand, the development of the regional economy can promote the development of the regional logistics industry, they are interactive communities. China has a relatively high degree of dependence on foreign trade. As the increase of China's reform and open to the outside world, our country has much more frequent foreign trade, which needs the support of the port logistics. Considering the natural conditions, China has a long coastline and abundant water transportation resources. Besides, at present, all levels of the government has realized the importance of the port logistics to the development of the national economy and enhanced the support for the port construction. Besides the excellent natural conditions, plus the guidance of the national policy, the port logistics industry has made remarkable achievements. Now it has basically formed the three port groups of the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Areas surrounding Bo Sea, and structures a rational layout, well structured, full functioned and open both to the inside and outside port system. Meanwhile, as port logistics industry gradually gets great achievements, it also exposes many problems. Different port leads to the serious waste of resources due to their blind competition for the limited resources. Benign competition can promote the reasonable and rational allocation of the resources. Thus, in the future, the port should distinguish its'own strength and weakness and the competence, recognize the competition between different ports and make the suitable strategy according to its'own conditions. Generally speaking, the ports should foster their strengths and circumvent their weaknesses to find out the suitable development way for themselves. In addition, the development mode of many port logistics is transformed from the traditional logistics, their awareness is much more backward and falls behind, and there is still a great gap between them and the developed countries. Therefore, how to promote the development level of the port has become a hot topic for us. The competitiveness of the port logistics is an important indicator to measure a city's comprehensive strength. The development of the port logistics industry is influenced by the regional economy, the external environment, the logistics infrastructure and many other factors. In this paper, referring to the development of the major foreign ports, we analyzes the development of the three port groups of the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Areas surrounding Bo Sea, set up the port logistics competitiveness evaluation index system, and use the quantitative method to extract the major factors influencing the competitiveness of the port logistics, proposing related thingking for the the future development of port.
