| Tianjin is a national industrial base, one of the traditional coastal area of special economic zone, has a large number of manufacturing company. In recent years, this group of enterprises developed very fast, many projects become Tianjin industrial pillar. Although the world economy has gone through a great financial crisis, many manufacturing companies not only in this difficult environment survive, but also their market share and production scale continue to expand. This study of S company is a output increase rapidly in mechanical manufacturing companies. However, enterprise development often accompany by a management system, operation mode, process improvement, in order to adapt to production scale changes.This thesis take S company in the production output increasing while face the production management problem as study object, use of logistics engineering expertise, on the S company serious problems of inventory control and production planning management as key research. The study combines qualitative analysis with quantitative calculation, including mathematical calculations, model and analysis, chart and diagram description etc(for example: ABC analysis, EOQ model ,task network drawing, planning process diagram),according to the development of S Company, aim at management of material, purchase model ,new type of stock control ,IM and IA plan process and part already rate propose several improvement methods to reduce inventory control costs, optimize production planning process, to improve the overall efficiency of the factory, so that the production management become more scientific and rational.Through research on inventory control and production planning, we make production and logistics system get optimization.
