Research On The Consumption Structure Of The Rural Residents In The West Of Hubei Province

In recent years, domestic consumer market becomes depressed and the employment situation is grim, particularly in the global financial crisis. As the troikas of pulling the economy, the impact of export and investment is dwindling; expansion of domestic demand becomes the main driving force of economic development. Urban residents, especially residents of developed areas, have been the final and main consumption group in China. But its potential is limited. Therefore, the focus of expanding domestic demand is rural consumer.Consumption is the ultimate goal of investment and production. The upgrading of consumption structure is the fundamental force of China's economy. In-depth study of the consumption structure will help to improve the consumer's unreasonable behavior, correct structural imbalances in consumer demand. So that we can improve the life quality of residents, and better meet their daily consumption and demand. For China, expanding rural consumption, optimizing the consumption structure of farmers can not only solve the problem of excess capacity effectively, but also be conducive to raising the employment rate, income growth for farmers, improve the living standards of rural residents. This is the key to achieve the target of economic growth rapid and better.In this paper, Hefeng County in Hubei Province is the research object. In order to make the article rational-followed and evidence-based, we will use a large number of documents and valuable first-hands statistics. Through the consumption structure of rural residents Analysis, we will find some rational and irrational factors. According to these factors, we can propose the appropriate strategy to guide the future of rural consumption.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction which describes the research background, significance, objectives and contents. The second part is the literature review. It arranges and reviews the definition of consumption structure, consumption function theory, consumption structure theory, research methods for providing theoretical basis. The third part discusses the situation of rural residents'consumption level and consumption in Hefeng County. The content of the forth part is analysis the impact of income and institutional factors for household consumption in rural areas. At last, according to the analysis of the previous parts, we can get some conclusions and prospects.
