Study On Grassland Circulation In Xilinhot's Husbandry

Animal husbandry, which plays an important role in China, is the basic and dominant industry in Inner Mongolia. Grassland husbandry is a most important part of animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia. It also important for people's live. Its function and status are decided by economy, condition and social benefit. To develop the grassland husbandry, the grassland resources are required. About 66.6% of the total land area in Inner Mongolia is grassland which is 78.8 million ha. It is 22% of the total grassland area in China. This makes it the largest grassland in China. improper utilization of grassland can lead to economic backwardness and ecological environment deterioration.With the spot investigation based on the random sampling and questionnaire method and some derivation based on empirical analysis and normative analysis, it is found that the best grassland scale is between 12000 to 15000 mu. Grassland circulation are affected by the education year of householder, the production period of animal husbandry and each family labour. The higher level of education that the householder is taken, the higher of possibility to lend the grassland. However, with the higher level of education, a householder can improve the efficient use of grassland and sometimes they may expand the scale. Family labour and grazing period can affect net inflow of grass but not net outflow of grass. It is also learned that, because of the social security function, the grassland is very important for herdsman. So social external environment must be concerned in the process of grassland circulation. According to the conclusions above, the strategy and suggestion are given from the following aspects: developing the second industry and the third industry, reinforcing herdsman's skill training, standardizing rental price mechanism, perfecting the social security system and grassland circulation patterns and so on.
