With the improvement of people's living standard, food safety is attracting more and more attention. However, it is a long way to go for Chinese food security. In recent years, various incidents of food safety have initiated people's panic for food and clear consumption has been an urgent appeal for the consumers. With the development of technology, division of labor in society, international trade and economic globalization in depth and breadth, there will be more intermediate links during the process from the farmland to the dining-table. The all-the-way tracking monitoring information will undoubtedly greatly reduce government monitoring cost and improve food quality. Reporting system of food safety information will play twice the result with half the effort to monitor, and at the same time it is also able to clear responsibility, reduce the trade dispute and friction. To establish and perfect the integrated and authoritative reporting system of food safety information consisted of food safety information collection, information bulletin, information publishing, and information sharing by enterprises, consumers, relevant organizations and government regulators is the key link in improving our country's food monitoring and management system, solving the frequent food safety accidents effectively, and reshaping the consumers'confidence, and also the foundation for the formulation of food safety regulations and policies. The Law of Agricultural Products Quality Safety, the Law of Food Safety and State Food and Drug Administration's Public Information Policy and the Policy of Food Safety Information Annunciation, which correspond to the reporting system of food safety information stipulated in Food Safety Law, provide related regulations on reporting system of food safety information. But it is still necessary to improve the design and operation of the system.This paper firstly analyzes the current situation of food safety and related information supply in our country. In the framework of the food safety laws, there are many defects in the design system consisted of information collection, information exchange and information released etc and in the practical operation in the reporting system of food safety information. And the reporting system itself, compensating for the food safety information partition status which is the result of the original department division management information system, has its own defects. The original department segmentation result of information management system of segmentation status in food safety after the enforcement of temporary has not changed. Therefore, so far, a transparent, united, integrated and systematic reporting system of food safety information is not formed, although Food Safety Law contains the establishment of the united food safety information annunciation system. Then, the necessity of the establishment and improvement of the reporting system of food safety information in China is analyzed from the perspective of the right and partial information theory. Because food safety information is characterized by experience goods and credit goods, mutual information asymmetry exists in food producers of food market, government regulators and consumers, and the scarcity of information is aggravated with food supply chain extension. Therefore, the consumers, who are in the terminal segment of the food supply chain, are the subjects who lack the most information. On the other hand, food safety information has a public product attribute and the government should play the role of Information Bridge. Furthermore, based upon the current situation of the food safety and the relevant information, the problems existing in the design system itself and the practical level of the reporting system of food safety information are explored in the framework of the current food laws in our country. Some suggestions are offered to improve the reporting system of food safety information:to improve the reporting system of food safety information, the principal approach is to formulate some related administration regulations and to establish the united and integrated reporting system of food safety information covering the whole food supply chain from farmland to the dining-table. In the framework of the current laws such as Food Safety Law, Food Safety Committee, as the organizer, implements food safety information retrospective system and sets up the unified information report and annunciation platform so as to bring about monitoring food safety information "from downstream to upstream" and "from farmland to the dining-table, and guarantee the reasonable procedure, continuity, integrity and transparency.
