Assessment Of City Competitiveness In Liaoning Province Based On Primary Components Analysis

Nowadays, Peace and Development have been a topic for a lot of countries. Therefore, exploring for more resources and getting a leading role in terms of economic development have been popular with many countries as well. The competitiveness of a city is determined by its capability for resources layout within its region. So far, the development in Liaoning Province is not balanced. Cities from Liaoning would like to receive more investment to strengthen their capability for development. The cities would like to speed up for development progress and to get a leading position for the development competition. Therefore, the competitiveness for a city is a new research for city development. This Thesis has been focused on the study and evaluation for the competitiveness of cities in Liaoning Province. It will help and guide the future development of citiesThis Thesis has a study on the current situation of different cities to get a conclusion on the meaning and theory for city development. It has based on 17 different cities from Liaoning Province to research on its history, current situation, economic capability, infrastructure, human resources, government, and opening up condition to set up an Index system for city development. By using the real data gathered from the above 17 cities, it has made an analysis on the city development evaluation system. The SPSS software system has been used for the analysis. And other cites from other Northeast Provinces will be added for evaluation. By evaluation, a new city list for competitiveness for both the Northeast Provinces and Liaoning Province will be made. As a result, the order for competitiveness in Liaoning Province is as follows: Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Yingkou, Panjin, Jinzhou, Liaoyang, Huludao, Dandong, Fushun, Benxi, Tieling, Chaoyang, and Fuxin. This thiese has been evaluated by the above five factors. The conclusion is coming from the above evaluation as well. The analysis has showed that the Major Component Analysis for influencing the city development in Liaoning Province. Finally, a conclusion has been worked out by this Thiese, which will help to improve the future development capability of cities in Liaoning Province.
