Research On Competitive Power Of China's Transportation Services Trade

With the integration of global economy, international trade is growing fast, both merchandise trade and trade in service. China is through this and has overpassed Germany reaching the second place of merchandise trade in the world. Transportation services trade, which is the derived demand of merchandise trade, is growing fast following the development of merchandise trade. Recently, Transportation services trade of China is developing fast, total volume of imports and exports is being increased by leaps and bounds. However, at the same time, the share of China's transportation services trade is low in the world, and China's transportation services trade has been in deficit for a long time and has become the biggest source of the deficit of trade in service, this is.not rational with the condition of China's merchandise trade.On this condition, I write this paper to give a brief research of China's transportation services trade. First, I demonstrated what transportation trade is. Then I made a brief introduction of theory of comparative advantage and theory of national competitive advantage, which are the basic theory of this paper. In the third part, I introduced current situation about transportation services trade of China and the world, I demonstrated that the transportation trade is growing fast in the world, but the developed countries play the leading roles. China's transportation trade is growing fast, too. But at the same time, China's transportation trade is still in deficit. In the fourth part, I used Market Share, Trade Competitive Index, Revealed comparative Advantage Index and Competitive Advantage to generate a series of competitive power indexes, and use these indexes to compare China with other main countries, then I come to the conclusion that the competitive power of China's transportation services trade is weaker than that of other main countries. In the fifth part, I analyzed the factors such as Human Capital and Government support that affect the competitive power of China's transportation services trade, and used least square method model to make positive analysis to verify those factors. In the last part, I made some suggestions to improve the competitive power of China's transportation services trade.
