Telecommunications industry is the critical industry in national economy. When it came into being, everyone give attention to it in the country. In 2008, China Unicom Network Communications Corporation (CUNC) Yuxi branch was set up, it was constituted by China Unicom and China Netcom.Thought many years development, grows out of nothing, from infancy to maturity, CUNC Yuxi branch became to the synthesis telecommunication service correspondence operation enterprise. From 2004, the market share of Yuxi branch became decline. With the innovation of telecommunication, how do CUNC Yuxi branch use this chance? how do CUNC Yuxi branch lay down the competitive strategy? How do CUNC Yuxi branch increases the profit? There problems are very important for CUNC Yuxi branch.Based on this problem, this paper firstly pointes at the reasons for Yuxi branch's lagging behind in the market competence and analyses the operating environment of Yuxi branch and advantages & disadvantages of Yuxi branch with the competence strategy theory, Michael Porter's five forces mode and SWOT analysis. In this paper, the researches is valuable to set right competition strategies, and to get the prior position in the market.
