FMEA Application On One Of X Company's Projects

This paper introduces the Research Activities, basic theory and method of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) following with the application of FMEA in a failure project of X company, and also the suggestions and methods how to avoid such failures in project.As one of the systemic work technologies and modal thinking modes, Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is used widely at home and aboard in many fields, such as military, manufacturing and project management. FMEA could be used at precautionary phase, as well as improvement phase after failure. It can analyze the failure modes about product, service or in process, and identify the risk priority, help to do the improvement.X Company is a multinational corporation, it has a few share in the competition of clean power in the world. The failure modes about one project is analyzed in this article, using FMEA. The root causes are pointed out and improvement ways are suggested, such as project management skills, organizational structure and business process re-engineering of some processes.
