With economic globalization and technology innovation, importance of product's quality has been realized and paid more attentions on. Joseph M.Juran, a US famous quality expert, predicted that "21st century is the century of quality" in 1994.Six Sigma had been obtained significant pay back in Motorola and GE. And then it had been implemented in other companys rapidly.This dissertation is to study how to implement six sigma methodologies in wave soldering process improvement. CTQ is wave soldering's DPMO. It is to study how to decrease DPU(defect per unit) and FPY(first pass yield). It is based on theory of six sigma DMAIC tools and other quality tools.The frame of this dissertation is:-Introduce Print Circuit Board and its assembly technologies.-Introduce quality control requirements of wave soldering process, and then introduce six sigma DMAIC tools-Implement six sigma DMACI tools in wave soldering process with project management methods, and solve problems of high DPMO in wave soldering production.
