Performance management, holding an important position in human resources management, was developed during the evolution of the theory of human resources management. Covering the performance management of organization,procedure and individual performance management, it plays an decisive role in the enhancement of enterprise core competitiveness, improvement of overall efficiency, reduction of operational cost and enterprises'sustainable development. "Emphasis on performance, concern about management" is a recommended management method for many domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and a hot topic of research for many scholars.Based on advanced performance management theory and method and from the angle of management, this article combines theory with practice and theoretically gives a full and accurate analysis of the relevant contents of performance management. Based on theory explaination and problem analysis, the article has an in-depth and meticulous analysis of the original organizational and individual performance management methods in Yang Cheng Company and provides a whole set of improvement scheme. The article then suggests the improvement scheme of the performance management in Yang Cheng Company, and conducts a follow-up study of the implementation of it.The article is divided into five parts. Firstly, define the important role of performance management in upgrading enterprise core competitiveness through the explanation of the significance and main content of performance management; secondly, introduce the connotation of the performance management theory, the analysis of factors affecting performance management, as well as the newest progress in the theory study of the current performance management and the current development of domestic and foreign performance management from the most significant end; next, from the reality of Yang Chen Company, introduce and analyze the current situation of performance management in the company, find the existing problems in performance management of Yang Cheng Company and provide reasons for the problems, and put forward a whole set of resolution scheme after redesigning the key performance indicators affecting the company's performance management; finally, give a implementation and application study on the suggested resolution scheme, explain the application evaluation and management strategy of the improved performance management scheme of Yang Cheng Company. The article carries certain actual reference value in how many state-owned enterprises can design and improve the performance management system according to their realities and the demand of enterprise development.
