Interaction design is a new design discipline, which has a lot of cross area and combined with the space of product design and new media design and traditional design industry. Interaction design is becoming the new direction for design in various fields. As the interaction of product is more and more innovative, people also pay more attention to the interactive experience in the process of using product. Toys, as a kind of special product accompany children grow up, has a more explicit interaction function. In order to realize the toy’s function, toy design should pay more attention to the relationship of children and toy, explore the best way of interaction. Applying the concept of interaction design into children’s toy products, will greatly enhance the visual, interactive, entertaining of toy product. And the application will have a positive effect on promoting the development of children’s senses and intelligence.This thesis will take the three main factors in interactive design system as the breakthrough point. The three factors involve products, users, and usage scenarios. On the basis of the in-depth research about the user group of preschool children, the carrier interactive toy products, and interaction behavior using toys under different environment, then summarizes the interaction design principles and strategies of application in toys products, finally provide feasible data and theoretical support for the development of children’s toys products.Content of the thesis mainly includes six parts, the first part elaborate the research background, purpose and significance of topic selection, the paper research content of the carrier and define objects, with clear research direction. The second Expounds the basic concept of interactive design, summarizes the approach to the study of interactive toys. The third part regarding an in-depth analysis of products for interactive toy, mainly summarized the interactive toy’s characteristics, classification and the elements of a classic case, finally elaborate the design trend of interactive toy. The fourth part according to the user-centered interaction research methods, analysis the research object, involves the development degree of preschool children’s physical, psychological, cognitive competence, and analysis of the main process and interactive way of this group children in using toys interaction, summarizes the design problem of predictability. The fifth part expounds the environmental factors of affecting the interaction behavior. In the two different environments, family and society, using the toys have interaction experience. The last part, according to the basic theory of interaction design and all research of paper, summarizes the interaction principle and interactive strategy of children’s products design.Paper will use multiple research methods such as literature retrieval method, the multidisciplinary cross method, case analysis method, in order to provide the basis for the study about interactive toys and preschool age children, and executing probabilities study and practice to explore, for the development of toy products to provide more ideas.
