Environmental Impact Assessment On Expansion Project Of The N Automobile Plant

Equipment manufacture is the advantageous industry of M city, it is the important mission given by Central Government&Provincial Committee. Automobile industry as the significant part of equipment manufacture, it is meaningful for developing the level of equipment manufacture, optimizing industrial structure and enhance economic strength. Nowadays, M city make efforts to develop Eastern Automobile City provided sufficient space for future development. The Government was increasing support dynamics on automobile industry, providing all-around service, creating superior environment of enterprise production and management and supporting enterprise and make it bigger and stronger. Being great active to the appeal of municipal government, in order to revitalize the northeast old industrial bases, N company finally decides to carry out the expansion project which includes expand the body shop, painting shop, final assembly shop and relative matched public installations. Furthermore, we require doing the assessment on the environmental impact caused by the feasibility of the project before settling down the expansion project.From the feasibility study of the N automobile company’s planning expansion project, we can see that both the environmental affect caused by the expansion project and the serious effect to the working staff caused by the working environment are very important. As an engineer of EHS department of the N automobile company, during this stage, we need to do the analysis on the surrounding environment and working environment and do the assessment on the analysis result. We will do the report to the management team of N automobile company concerning about the feasibility study especially focus on the assessment result for their reference to see whether to carry out the expansion project.Based on the fact that N company plans to do the expansion project. Firstly, we will introduce the background of expansion project and come up with the theory and method on the environmental impact assessment, then, we will do the project demand analysis. Project advantage analysis and disadvantage analysis, finally, we will clearly point out the total expansion project plan. Focus of this paper is the project’s environmental impact assessment. It will assess its surrounding and working environmental according to the overall expansion planning. As per the surrounding environmental impact assessment, we got the impact result to the surroundings caused by the expansion project engineering through analyzing the project and do the surrounding environmental impact assessment, including the impact to the environments caused by the air, water, noise and solid waste pollution. For the working environmental assessment, mainly we consider the total designing plan on the work shop and equipment; firstly, we get the Identification and evaluation on the risk factors, then, do the analysis on the occupational hazard factors for the working environments. Finally, based on above mentioned assessments, we got the final environmental impact assessment caused by our projects.
