The present dissertation mainly deals with the taxonomics of the family Ascidae from Guizhou. The history and current situations, purpose and research significance of this family both in Guizhou and China were also reviewed breifly. 1 TaxonmicsThe study collated 11 ascid species known from Guizhou including, of which 6 species new to science are described here with 30 mophologic illustrations. Keys to genus and species were provided. The type specimens studied were deposited in the Institute of Entomology of Guizhou University, Guiyang, Guizhou, China(GUGC). The new species of Ascidae are as follows(those with asterisk ready to contribute):Asca guizhouensis sp. nov. *Blattisocius multidentatus sp. nov.Lasioseius scrotiformis sp. nov. *Lasioseius biporosus sp. nov.Lasioseius dolichospathus sp. nov.Lasioseius concavus sp. nov. 2. Faunal analysisThe faunal structures and futures of those known from Guizhou were analyzed at specific levels. On the zoogeographic scheme of the all known Guizhou Ascidae, At specific level, 11 species, 100% of the totle, are distributed in the Central China region, the faunal type containing the most ascid species. There are 2 species, making up 18.2% of the totle, belonging to the Inner Mongolia-Xinjiang region, North China region & South China region is secondary. And 1 species, making up 9.1% of the totle, belonging to the Northeastern China region is tertiary. On the Guizhou zoogeographic scheme, 9 species, 81.8%, are distributed in Central Guizhou region. 5 species, 45.5%, are distributed in Southern Guizhou region. 2 species, 18.2%, are distributed in Eastern Guizhou region. 3. The environmental factors related to distribution of ascid mites in GuizhouThe survey covered seven cities(state) and 18 counties(districts) with verious topographic and geomorphic conditions and microclimate Guizhou. 4 genera and 11 ascid species of Guizhou mainly distributed in the central and the southeast with good rainfall due to effects of the yunnan-guizhou quasi stationary front, and these areas situated at the low latitude with the South Asian tropical climate characteristic. Furthermore, the areas are hills-river-valley with unique subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests. and the southern valleys of the areas have well developed valley monsoon forests and evergreen broad-leaved forests with tropical floral elements. Many nature reserves provide ideal conditions for the evolution and development of species, so that, there is a trend of centralized species distribution. Many species of Ascidae have been widely studied as potential agents for biological control of agricultural pest. The new acid species described in the present study are valuable resources for biological controle due to they are relatives with those studied previously..
