| The family Coccidae(Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccoidea)is the third group of soft scale insect.Previously there are 178 genera 1224 species in Coccidae,of which 165 species in 53 genera known in China and 20 species in 10 genera known only in Guizhou Province, and has not made a systematic study on the soft scale insect. In this thesis, the history and current situations of taxonomic study on the family Coccidae were remembered, and the taxonomic characteristics of this family was introduced, and the geographical distribution of this family in Guizhou was studied. The main results are as follows:1.TaxonomyIn this study,1200 specimen were examined,46 species,24 genera,7 tribe,5subfamily of Coccidae from Guizhou were recorded, among them, including 1new genera and 5 new species(1 species have been published),5 new record from China,10 new record genera and 14 new record species from Guizhou Province. The 46 species are described and illustrated from Guizhou Province.Habitat photographs of41 species(including the photographs of hosts, adult females scale cover, immature males scale cover and exposed body of adult females)were also given. At the same time, the keys to species of genus, genera of tribe, tribes of subfamily and 5subfamilies of the famfly Coccidae were provided. The type specimens and examined specimens were deposited in the Institute of Entomology,Guizhou University,Guiyang,China(GUGC).New genera: Bambusaecoccus Meng & Xing,2022New species: Coccus douyunensis sp.nov.;Ceroplastes debregerus sp.nov.;Megalocrypte scorniculaeoccus sp.nov.;Paralecanium sinensis(Maskell,1897).2.Faunal analysisThis thesis analyzed 5 subfamilies,7 tribes,24 genera and 46 species of the Coccidae in geographic regions of Guizhou Province. The results are as follows:The 5 subfamilies of the family Coccidae in Guizhou, except the Eriopeltinae(?)ulc,1941 distributed only in "VIB4",the other subfamilies were distributed in different geographical divisions.Among the 7 groups, the scale scale was only found in the "VIB3",while the other groups were distributed in different geographical divisions. At generic level: 24 genera contains 9 types of distribution in geographic regions in Guizhou Province.Among them, there were 3 types of single region,of single region,5 genera of VIB1(Central Guizhou Plain and Hill Province),which making up 20.83%;7 genera of VIB3(South Guizhou low mountain and hilly province),which making up 29.17%;1 genera of VA1(Western Guizhou Plateau and Medium Mountain Province),which making up 4.17%.Straddling 2 provinces and regions type 2,VA1-VIB1(Western Guizhou Plateau and Medium Mountain Province and Central Guizhou Plain and Hill Province)type counts 2 genus, which making up8.33%.VIB1-VIB4(Central Guizhou Plain and Hill Province-Northern Guizhou Medium Mountain and Canyon Province)type counts 2 genus, which making up8.33%.2 types spanning three regions,VIB1—VIB3—VIB4(Northern Guizhou Medium Mountain and Canyon Province)type counts 1 genus, which making up4.17%;VA1-VIB2-VIB4 type counts 1 genus, which making up 4.17%.VIB1—VIB2—VIB3—VIB4 type counts 1 genus, which making up 4.17%;VA1—VIB1—VIB2—VIB3—VIB4 type counts 1 genus, which making up 4.17%.If all the genera which include the region genus are calculated,15 genera in total will belong to VIB1,making up 62.50%;13 genera in total will belong to VIB3,making up 54.17%;8 genera in total will belong to VA1 and VIB4,making up33.34%;6 genera in total will belong to VIB2,making up 25.00%.Therefore,it is obvious that VIB1 genera compose the majority of the the Coccidae at generic level in Guizhou,VA1,VIB3 and VIB4 are secondary,VIB2 is the least. At specific level: 46 species contains 15 types of distribution in geographic regions in Guizhou Province.Among them, there were 4 types of single region, the most of VIB1 and VIB3 with 10 species, making up 23.81% of the total species;VIB4 counts 3species,which making up 7.14%;VA1 counts 2 species, which making up 2.38%.5 types spanning two regions,VA1-VIB1,VIB1-VIB4,VIB2-VIB4,VIB3-VIB4,VIB1-VIB3 type counts 1 species, which making up 2.38%.3 types spanning three regions,VA1-VIB1-VIB3,VA1-VIB1-VIB 3 type counts 2 species, which making up 4.76%;VA1-VIB1-VIB2 3 type counts 1 species, which making up2.38%.VIB1-VIB2-VIB3-VIB4 type counts 1 species, which making up 2.38%.VA1—VIB1-VIB2-VIB3-VIB4 type counts 4 species, which making up 9.52%.If all the species which include the region species are calculated,26 species in total will belong to VIB1,making up 56.52%;24 species in total will belong to VIB3,making up 52.17%;12 species in total will belong to VIB4,making up 26.08%;11species in total will belong to VA1,making up 23.91%;10 species in total will belong to VIB2,making up 21.74%.Therefore,it is obvious that VIB1 species compose the majority of the the Coccidae at generic level in Guizhou,VIB4,VIB3 and VA1 are secondary,VIB2 is the least. |
