This paper choose community of wetland plants of the West Part of the West Lake as the the research object, through the analysis of the plant communities’ associated indicators, the relationships between the diversity, complexity and stability of the community of wetland plants and the dynamic change rule of community of wetland plants of the West Part of the West Lake are summarized. The main conclusions this paper comes to are as follows:(1) There are 174 species of plants in wetland of the West Part of the West Lake, which belonged to 77 families and 139 genera. Among the 6 plants categories of trees, shrubs, herbs, vines, aquatic plants and bamboo, the aquatic plants, shrubs and herbs have a big portion. The trees, shrubs and herbs are average in the number of species. Native plants is in a dominant position.(2) By using the principle of Algorithmic Complexity and Entropy, the total complexity is split into organizational complexity(structural complexity) and non-organizational complexity(disorder complexity). The 40 plant communities’ numerical value of complexity are sorted. The curve of total complexity and structural complexity are in a similar trend, the total complexity is affected by structural complexity in a great extent. At the same time, the relationship between complexity and diversity of the plant community is discussed, the rule that complexity is affected by species richness and evenness is found.(3) Use the M. Godron method to analyse and evaluate the stability of the plant communities. The rule that stability shows irregularity to diversity and complexity is found. It is due to the influence of human factors.(4) The wetland plant communities have changed little since the time of completion. The difference is mainly reflected in the number of species and quantities of grass and aquatic plants. Community species immigration and emigration has correlation with diversity, complexity and stability of plant communities. The reason can be explained by the principle of ecological niche. The overall situation of community of wetland plants of the West Part of the West Lake is good, but there are still some place damaged or in potential threat, some measures should be taken to deal with the situations and protect the plant communities.
