The genera of Peltigera, the type genus of Peltigeraceae and Lobaria, the typegenus of Lobariaceae are medium-to-large leafy thalli. They are classified intoPeltigerales under Lecanoromycetes, Ascomycota, Fungi. The edge of Peltigera turn up or turn down, upper surface is smooth or villous, sometimes has isidia, lobules or soralia. The lower surface has no cortex, vein obviousor not obvious, short tomentum or sparsely rhizines. The lecanorine type and hemi-angiocarpic apothecia lie on or up light on the edge of the upper surface. Per clavateascus has8aciform ascospores or8ellipsoidal ascospores. Per ascospore hasparalleled4-8cells. The photobionts are cyanobacteria or green algae. The chemicalsubstances appear very rarely. The upper and lower surface of Lobaria have pseudoparenchyma cortex. Theedge of the thallus cracked, neat or turnup. The upper is smooth or with distinctnetwork of ridges. Sometimes has isidia, lobules or soralia. The lower surface hasshort tomentum and sparsely rhizines. The apothecia are zeorine type or lecanorinetype, hemi-angiocarpic. The asci are columned or clavate. Per ascus have8aciformascospores or8spindly ascospores. The conidiosporangium grow in or lie on goosepimples. The pycnidia are rhabditiform. The photobionts are cyanobacteria or greenalgae. The chemical substances are very abundant.More than700speciesmens deposited in Lichen Section of Botanical Herbarium,Shandong Normal University (SDNU) are comprehensive studied with multiplymethods including morphology, anatomy, chemistry and nrDNA ITS sequences. Thisthesis report species composition and local distribution of the lichen genus Peltigera and Lobaria in China. Descriptions of each taxa in details and the disscusionsbetween related species have been done. And key to species or phylogenetic tree ofthese two genera from China are given. This study supplement distribution data of thelichen Peltigera and Lobaria genus in China. And it made convenience for the futherresearch, and enriched the basic data for Lichen Virtual Herbarium. This study alsomake sense for reasonable development lichen resources.
