Oil And Gas Exploration Logging Project Risk Management Research

Oil and gas exploration scale of world’s discovery is smaller since the1980s. The exploration difficulty increased gradually. Oil and gas exploration is a branch of geophysical. As the difficulty of oil and gas exploration increased, logging engineering face complicated factors and unexpected situation much more than before. My company is an American oil and gas service company, the main projects of my company are formation evaluation, seismic interpretation and analysis, logging service, logging interpretation, single well reservoir evaluation and reservoir description projects which all belong to oil and gas exploration field. The research object of this article is our company logging projects. Recently, logging project difficulty and risk increased greatly. Therefore, it’s necessary to have a deep research for logging project risk management separately.The oil and gas exploration logging project risk analysis and evaluation system was established in this thesis. On the basis of consulting a large of literature material, this thesis analysis oil and gas industry and our company present situations and points out the existing problems. The thesis demonstrates the necessity of oil and gas exploration risk management. The thesis makes a full detail project risk identification and classification through RBS and expert interview method. Oil and gas exploration project can be divided6classification and23risk factors. Based on the probability and impact matrix method, thesis identifies the risk factors for qualitative analysis to determine risk level and risk values. Then introduce AHP to determine the weight value of risk factors. Combine the probability and impact matrix with AHP method, the thesis make a whole oil and gas exploration whole risk evaluation and get moderate risk level. It contains4high level risk factors,17middle level risk factors and2low level risk factors. To identify risk factors for oil and gas exploration logging project according to quadrant category, the thesis give each quadrant risk response for each risk factors also.Through the establishment of oil and gas exploration logging project risk management system, lots of our company risk management problems can be solved. It will be provide a positive influence for company risk management.
