Today, city urbanization process is accelerating, and the traffic problem has becomemore serious, and has become a stumbling block that troubles the development of largeand medium-sized cities. Since the2005Beijing City Hall proposed "microcirculation"concept in the government work report, effectively using the internal road network toreduce trunk road traffic pressure has become the research focus of the microcirculationroad network system optimization in recent years. However, in the reducing of trunk roadtraffic pressure, the microcirculation road network also bear the travel and living needs ofresidents in microcirculation areas. So the optimization of microcirculation road networkshould be multi-level and multi-object, which is the emphasis of this study. Thediscussion on the optimization targets of microcirculation in different levels, rationaldistribution of traffic flows meeting with the needs of short distance going out ofresidents in the areas are quite meaningful.First, in order to reduce the traffic pressure in the main lines and increase theaccessibility of traffic network by utilizing the available road resources in the city trafficmicrocirculation, the paper redefined the definition of traffic microcirculation based onthe existed theories and practices and the understanding itself. Considering the substanceof the traffic microcirculation is the comprehensive research and unified arrangement forthe trend, size and traffic flow distributions of branches and less important lines such aspaths in certain areas.Secondly, sort the city microcirculation into city and district level and street arealevel based on different programming concepts. Determine the correspondingoptimization targets according to different levels, and establish the model of theoptimization for the city traffic microcirculation based on the multi-targetedprogramming. Through this model, set the roads as shunts which can structure therational traffic microcirculation which roads are mainly chose for the short distance going out for the residents in the area can be determined, and make sure the ability of itstraffic capacity of the chosen roads. The genetic algorithm is closed as the solutionalgorithm for the model based on the characteristics and difficulties of the model, thedetailed steps are given too.Thirdly, while reducing the pressure of main lines, the microcirculation trafficnetwork is also influencing the needs of going out and the livings of residents inmicrocirculation areas. So in order to know the possible influences brought by theoptimization, the paper evaluates the model thoroughly, establishes the system evaluation.Sequencing the weights of influencing factors by the analytic hierarchy process in which6indexes with the biggest weights are chosen. The paper evaluates the whole advantagesand disadvantages of the optimization of city traffic microcirculation by multi-stagefuzzy pattern recognition. Finally, the paper tests and verifies the main theoretical model and algorithm withthe real examples, explains the idea and processes the optimization design for the wholetraffic microcirculation network.
