Research On Location Visualization Method And Its Application

With the development of positioning technology and mobile network technology, research onlocation based services (LBS) is becoming increasingly popular.Location based services include key technologies such as positioning technology, embeddedsystems technology, mobile communication technology, GIS technology, interoperabilitytechnology, data expression and display technology, Web technology and so on.Based on the display requirement of electronic map in LBS, the thesis studies map tile basedlocation visualization methods mainly from the obtain of map tiles, the storage of information, themethod of dynamic map building，map operation and map refreshing based on map tiles, andimplements the major functions of GIS server. On this basis, the thesis also studies the applicationof location visualization technologies in moving object state tracking and location basedrecommendation service. The thesis has designed and implemented a moving object state trackingsystem based on android phone and a simple location based recommendation service system.The moving object state tracking system collects, stores, processes the position data and sensordata from android device, uses Google’s position parsing function and sensor data fusion methoddesigned in the thesis to obtain the real-time position and situations of moving objects, and displaysthe information through the map tile based location visualization methods. Then it provides decisionreference for managers.The implementing of location based recommendation service synthetically uses collaborativefiltering based recommendation algorithm, recommendation engine Mahout, development toolandroidpn, and location visualization methods designed by this thesis, and gains therecommendation information according to the user’s location, the target’s location and the user’spreference on the targets, shows the object’s location by map.This thesis has done useful work on location visualization method and its application.
