The Research Of Local Search Service System Based On GIS

With the development of the standard of living and the accelerating pace of life, we always expect to use Internet to understand the situations of destination and other places and then form a feasible journey plan, so it is necessary to build a high standard geography search system. As a result of the great progress in Geography Information Technology and the unceasing development of its application, the Web GIS can satisfy the need of users to some extent. But the traditional Web GIS isn't applied widely because of some shortcoming (such as the slow speed of response and small number of users served at the same time). In view of this condition, this paper has done the research in the following aspects.Based on analysis of the current Local search service and the trend of its development, we proposed the basic function demand and the data demand of Local search service.After detailed introduction of the technology of Web GIS system server end and client side, we proposed the construction of a geography search system which based on a Tile Map Technology-based PMSI (Public map service frame) network map issue system and JavaScript customer end frame, and we also completed the design of system's functional module, system's development platform and the movement environment, and the database.We have discussed and analyzed the key technologies of the system function, elaborated the Tile Map Server's construction technology,and splicing display technology of client side map.On the platform of the network map service which provideed by ESRI Corporation (ArcIMS) and SQL Sever2000, using Java, we have realized some basic functions, such as public map service frame based on electronic map issue , map slice (tile) demonstration function, and POI interest inquiry.
