Nanchang city is located in the north central part of Jiangxi Province, fourcounties under the jurisdiction of District, the area of low-lying, lakes, water networkclouds, coupled with the summer rain, autumn climate characteristics of summerdrought easily, resulting in frequent floods and droughts, brought great trouble to thelocal people’s production, life. The period of the Republic of China, climate change,Nanchang District, flood and drought, water conservancy project construction andwater conservancy disputes, held and water management activities are ring system.This paper attempts to examine the Nanchang area during the period of the Republicof floods and droughts and water management in environmental history, social historyfrom the perspective of comprehensive utilization of local literature, provides thereference for the development of water conservancy construction modern Nanchangarea.In addition to the introduction part reviews the relevant academic history,research significance, research methods and research content, this paper is dividedinto five parts to launch the elaboration. The first chapter introduces the geographicalbasis of Nanchang area water resources, including the evolution of regional division,climate and water resources. The second chapter statistical number of Nanchang areain Ming Dynasty to the Republic of flood and drought disasters, and discusses thenegative effects of disasters, analyzes the causes of disaster. In the third chapter,agriculture and water conservancy dikes cause--Nanchang area during the period ofRepublic of China as the center, respectively, described the period about Weidiprovision and maintenance engineering, focuses on the maintenance process mainly inNanchang County levee repair situation and the case area rich in Wei. Fourth chapterhas carried on the classification and analysis of Nanchang region in Republic of ChinaWater Conservancy dispute. The fifth chapter from the point of the water conservancymanagement organization, analyzes and discusses the water management system ofNanchang area during the period of Republic of china.
