At present, the geographic information system has been widely applied in many fields, and the graphics and text messages of land resources can be shown visually to the user on the basis of GIS.Compared with traditional methods, this system improves the management of spatial data and attribute data, and effectively integrates the visual text data management. It includes four modules:the basic operation of map, map data query, land information statistics and land classification. In this system the factor method of land classification, on the basis of determining weights and grading factors, natural quality score of data unit will be calculated, through the corresponding calculated acquires data unit’s natural quality index, and according to the utilization factor of land resources and the correction of land economic coefficient, land use and land economic index will be obtained respectively, according to the spacing method. Through the classification of land, can have a purpose to optimize improve abominably, and targeted to improve the high grade land, it is an important part of the rational use and management of land resources.In order to form the intelligent support for designation and land resources, and realize the automation of land management, basic to improve the sustainable development of land resources utilization, the basis of land resources data query, analysis and processing by means of GIS to, and on the basis of the results of land grading, it is not difficult to found that the use of land resources in our country there are still many waste phenomenon. So, using GIS technology to improve operational and practicability of the land information management, strengthen the reasonable use of land resources, has become the provincial land in our country from planning to protect the path towards sustainable development.
