The Study On Development Present Situation And Development Strategy Of Marine Economy Of The Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone

Oceans cover70%of the earth’s surface, with wide space and rich variety ofresources. With the rapid development of economy and society, human beings will faceserious problems, such as population explosion, lack of resources, environmentalpollution and other issues, and the key to these problems is how to configure the marineresource. The21st century is the ocean century, countries around the world turn theireyes on the sea, marine economy becomes a new growth point of the world economy.Blue economy, as the main body of marine economy, is increasingly becoming the mainfield for countries to implement the strategy of sustainable development.China, as a strong country that is close to sea, the Marine economy has madeconsiderable progress, but still not satisfy the need of economic development. Coastalprovinces and cities put great effort in the blue economy to transform the pattern ofeconomic development and adjust the industrial structures. As a maritime province, thelocation, resources, technology advantages of Shandong are prominent. A series ofstrategic decisions has put forward that provide favorable condition and rare opportunityfor Shandong to realize the new development in the new starting point. When visitingShandong Province in2009, President Hu made a commitment to accelerating the marineeconomy, exploiting the marine resources scientifically, developing advantage industryand forging the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. After that more attention hasbeen put on the development of the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone.Implementing the blue economic zone of Shandong peninsula raised the economicdevelopment to a strategic height. Optimizing industrial structure and realizing the fastdevelopment of Marine industry meaning a great and far-reaching influence to thedevelopment of Shandong Marine economy. Based on different materials and field researches on the development of differentmarine economic zones, this thesis explains the domestic and overseas background ofmarine economic zone, summarizes the findings of scholars from different countries，andAnalysis of the Shandong peninsula blue economic zone development present situationand existing problems. By studying the advanced experience and methods, this thesisalso studies the strategy for the sustainable development of the Shandong Peninsula BlueEconomic Zone. The main part of this thesis analyses the advantages and disadvantagesof the development strategy for the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, usesSWOT analysis, and proposes that SO combination strategy should be adopted aftercomparing the strategy combination of SO, ST, WO, WT, which means advantagesshould be brought into play, exterior opportunities seized, the development accelerated.Through the analysis of the Shandong peninsula blue economic zone in the developmentof Marine economy, some proposals from the perspective of finance, policy, law,environmental protection, culture are proposed. This thesis puts forward someexploratory advice for the marine economy development of the Shandong Peninsula BlueEconomic Zone and creates the foundation for further study on this field.
